Remember when phones were actually connected to wires? When you could hear the network singing to you in bleeps and bloops? The old Bell System was a marvel of engineering - and a playground for the curious.

Every tone had a meaning. 2600Hz was the magic frequency. A blue box could make you a telecom god. Those days are gone, but the spirit remains. Understanding systems. Finding the gaps. Making technology dance.
